Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MonieAssist (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Description of Service

MonieAssist is a personal finance management application that allows users to:

• Track income, expenses, and account balances across multiple wallets
• Import bank statements from email alerts or file uploads
• Set and monitor budgets
• Track loans, savings goals, and investment portfolios
• Generate financial reports

MonieAssist is a financial tracking tool, not a bank, payment processor, or licensed financial advisor. We do not hold your funds, execute transactions, or provide regulated financial advice.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of or operating in Ghana to use MonieAssist. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at support@monieassist.com if you suspect unauthorized access

User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Use MonieAssist for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Ghanaian law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service by automated means
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Service on behalf of a commercial enterprise without prior written agreement

Smart Import Feature — Email Access

When using the Smart Import feature, you grant MonieAssist limited permission to read bank alert emails for the sole purpose of extracting transaction data. You represent that:

• You are the lawful owner of the email account you connect
• The emails you forward or grant access to are yours to share
• You will not grant access to emails belonging to another person without their consent

You may revoke this permission at any time by disconnecting the integration within the app.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and functionality of MonieAssist — including the name, logo, and branding — are the exclusive property of MonieAssist and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Financial data extracted from statements will be 100% accurate in all cases
• The Service is suitable for any particular financial decision

You should always verify important financial figures independently.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law, MonieAssist shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of financial data or inaccurate data imports
• Financial decisions made based on information displayed in the app
• Losses resulting from unauthorized access to your account

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Since MonieAssist is currently free, this amount is GHS 0.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon termination, your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
